Radio and Democracy Museum, one of the five boutique museums of Konak Municipality brought to Izmir, is among the 16 best museums in Europe in the category of political and historical museums. In the museum where more than a hundred radio stations are located, visitors can listen to radio announcements of important events in history. The museum is a cultural matter and it is very closely related to the tradition and culture of reading, writing, thinking and studying in that country. In this sense, some local governments are trying to do their utmost to ensure that there is sufficient awareness and sensibility in our country, to settle and to become more widespread. Konak Municipality has given five important museums to Izmir city and our country with its boutique museum approach. In 2013, radio and exhibitions at the Radio and Democracy Museum, which was commissioned by Konak Municipality, were provided by public donations. The collection and maintenance of the radios, the restoration of the building, the design of the interior of the building, the information boards to be prepared and supported with visuals, the audio recordings in the interactive sections of the radio record took about 2 years to recover.
