The building was built by architect Atik Sinan between the years 1462 - 1470. The complex is designed as a complex and consists of madrasah, darüşşifa, tabhane, soup kitchen, library, bathhouse and mosque. The importance of the area in the construction of the structure is great. It is known that Hagioi Apostoloi Church is in Byzantine period. The fact that this point was chosen in the construction of the complex symbolizes a new belief. The presence of a mosque in the middle of the complex is the most important religious and cultural center of the city.
