Cave of Gökgöl

Gokgol Cave, which has a total length of 3350 meters with its arms, has been the main gallery which developed in the east, southeast-west and northwest direction and it has two large sidewalks. After the main gallery which ends with a narrow and watery siphon, an underground stream is seen in the Great Depression Hall, formed by the waters coming from the side branches. Located on the walking path and crossed by bridges, this stream flows into the Erçek Creek from the active mouth of the cave. Gökgöl Cave, which is very rich in the direction of the entrance to the cave, is adorned with every travertine, stalactite, stalagmite columns, flag, curtain and dripstones. On active and semi-active floors wall dripstones, pasta stalactites, cave roses, cave needles and dripsticks are filled with water. These dripstones that are in development are signs of the formation of the cave. The first 875 meters of Gökgöl Cave was opened for tourism. This section extending from the entrance to the Great Depressment Hall is characterized by names such as Fossil Entrance, Damlataşlar Gallery, Depression Hall, Great Hall, Great Depression Hall and Excellency Hall. There are walking trails, bridges and terraces in this illuminated area.
